Philippe Berry was born in 1956 in Paris.
In 1974, he joined the FASE, a drawing school in Penninghen. He first worked as a graphic designer, then as a designer and art director for various advertising agencies. In the 1980s he created posters for the cinema, and theater decorations for shows such as « Nuit d'ivresse », « L'ex-femme de ma vie », « Cuisine et dépendances .
In 1984, parallel to his activities, he began painting and devoted himself to sculpture from 1988.
